Virgo is an astrological sign which originated from the constellation Virgo, and is the sixth sign of the zodiac. Virgo is classed as a Negative or feminine, introverted sign; its element is Earth and its Quality is Mutable.[1] Traditionally in astrology Virgo is ruled by the planet Mercury. The opposite sign to Virgo is Pisces. Under the tropical zodiac, Virgo is occupied by the Sun from August 23 to September 22, and under the sidereal zodiac, it is currently from September 17 to October 17.
